2nd:Thursday

Tea and Chat begins the new season with a WWII session with Age Concern in the Methodist Room at 2.15 p.m.


3rd:Friday

Fun Day and Afternoon Tea on the Playing Field from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bouncy Castle, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Face Painting, Raffle, Tombola, Coffee and Cakes. In aid of new children’s playing equipment for the playing field


5th:Sunday

St Mary’s Festival Communion with Ministry of Healing, 10 a.m.

St Michael’s, Nether Wasdale, Evening Prayer at 6.30 p.m.

Methodist Church Evening Service at 6.30 p.m. with Rev G Wilson


6th:Monday

Gosforth Art Society meet at 7 p.m. in the School Main Hall. New members welcome


7th:Tuesday

GOSFORTH 10 K ROAD RACE starts at 6.30 p.m. from the Playing Field. Enter on the night from 5.15 at the Lion and Lamb. First runners back in the village at around 6.55 p.m., then more and more until about 8.00 p.m.

W.I. meet in the Public Hall at 7.15 p.m. – “Cumbrian Tales and Myths” with Diane Stewart. Competition – An old Cumbrian Book.


8th:Wednesday

Parish Council Meeting at 7 p.m. in the Supper Room. Public are welcome to attend


9th:Thursday

Gosforth Public Hall Management Committee Meeting at 7.30 p.m. in the Supper Room


10th:Friday

Life in the Wasdale Valley in the 1900’s” - a film show of old photographs of the valley, in the Old School, Nether Wasdale, at 2 p.m., followed by afternoon tea. Everybody welcome


12th:Sunday

St Mary’s Holy Communion, 8 a.m

United Village Praise and Baptism, St Mary’s, 10 a.m., includes All Stars.

St Olaf’s, Wasdale Head, Holy Communion, 6 p.m.


13th:Monday

Gosforth Art Society meet at 7 p.m. in the School Main Hall. Includes AGM tonight!


14th:Tuesday

Blengdale Runners Outdoor Training for all abilities, 7 p.m. from outside Gosforth Hall. Stretches, shuttle runs and exercises around the village and a bit beyond. Come and have a go! .


15th:Wednesday

Cumbria Wildlife TrustMountain Flowers”, illustrated talk by Peter Bullard, 7.30 p.m. in the Methodist Room. Admission £1.50 inc refreshments


16th:Thursday
