Leaflets with details of what is required and what is unsuitable will be in St Mary’s Church, the Methodist Room and the library or obtainable from Ruth Schofield (25300). www.buildingyourhospital.ncuh.nhs.uk – has a wealth of information on this exciting project, which will see the biggest single investment in healthcare for West Cumbria in over half a century. The hospital is being redeveloped to create a fit-for-purpose 21st century facility which will generate a significant boost to the local economy, contributing to the regeneration of the region. The new website, which went live on Thursday, 17 December, explains the reasons behind the redevelopment and has artists’ impressions of how the new hospital could look.
